Mountains are a type of landform which have steep slopes and a pointy peak or summit. These structures can be very tall. They may or may not have snowy peaks. They usually have cold temperatures at the top due to altitude temperatures .These mountains are home to many species on their lower region. Their existence is very important to nature. They also get us money as these are a tourist hotspot.

These Mega-structures are formed when tectonic plates collide and /OR diverge. They can also be formed due to volcanic activity.
FOLD: Fold mountains are formed when convergent plate boundary takes place. When subduction happen, the top plate is folded at some parts creating mountains.
BLOCK: Block or fault mountains are formed when two plated diverge. This diverging causes middle part of the crust to sink. The other side parts rise up and create mountains.
DOME: Dome mountains are formed when magma swells up some crust and pushes it up. It is not able to break through the crust but uplifts the land which makes a mountain.
VOLCANIC: Volcanic mountains are formed when magma stored in the magma chamber erupts through the vent. The magma leaks onto the earths surface and is now called lava. After many such eruptions, the solid lava forms a cone shaped volcanic mountain.

usually in the form of a Peak Usually formed by tectonic plates Moving  .Most scientists clarify a mountain as a landform that rises at least a 1000 feet . They have extreme climates unlike hills and are even sharper and steeper .

How are Fault block mountains formed - Block/fault Mountains are formed  when blocks of Bedrock are split into two by Divergent Tectonic plates .These Plates diverge [Move Apart] .When Faults or cracks in Earths crust Force Some materials of blocks Up and down . The Upward block is called the Horst and the sinking block is called The Graben .

Himalayas were formed when the great continent Pangea broke and the Indo - Australian and Eurasian plate collided.

A mountain is a large and natural elevation of the earths surface rising more or less abruptly. Mountains are formed through tectonic forces.There are four kind of mountains dome, fold,fault and volcanic.But today I will be talking about the block mountain.So this is how a block mountain will look like. Block mountains also can be called as fault mountain are formed when faults or cracks in the earths crust force some materials or blocks of rock up and others down. Instead of the earth folding over, the earths crust fractures. It breaks up into blocks. Sometimes these blocks move up and down.Some examples are  the mountains of Satpura and Vineyard found in the central-western part of India.This is meaning of block mountains. Mountain Chosen-Volcanic Mountains

Good Morning/Afternoon dear friends and respected teacher today I am going to demonstrate How volcanic mountains are formed and some information about them.Lets start by knowing what are mountains. Mountains are natural landforms which have a peak known as summit they have different climates because of the location of those places they are covered with snow,mud, and trees.They are usually found on the edge of a tectonic plate.They are formed due to the movement of tectonic plates.

Volcanic Mountains- Volcanic mountains are formed by convergent plate boundaries and divergent late boundaries  when 2 plates collide with each other or converge 1 of the plate will move down (Subduction) causing the magma to rise up and erupt violently. (Showing eruption)

However this not the only way of how Volcanic Mountains are formed divergent boundaries can also cause volcanoes when 2 plates move apart from each other or diverge form each other.In the space where the plates have moved apart the space gives place for the land to rise up and then the volcano erupts going through the vent and blasting out from the crater.As soon as the magma reaches the earths crust it is known as lava.Along with lava ash and several gases are also released.forming a volcano.(Showing Eruption)

My name is Aadya Goel and today I would be presenting my model on a volcanic mountain.
Mountains are one of the most major landforms. This structure has steep slopes and is very high. It also has a peak called a summit. The bottom of a mountain is called a foot. many mountains together are called a mountain range. There are 4 types of mountains - Dome mountains, fold mountains, fault block mountain and volcanic mountains. Mountains are formed due to tectonic plate boundaries. In convergent plate boundaries, one plate pushes the other down. This process is called subduction. The plate that goes upwards forms a mountain. In divergent plate boundaries, two plates diverge or go away from each other. The piece of land in between them sinks and the ground on the sides forms the mountain.

Volcanic mountains are formed when magma rises from beneath the crust, goes through the vent and blasts out from the crater in the form of lava. One example of a volcanic mountain is - Mount Fugi in Japan.

Groundwater recharge in simple words is the process of water entering soil or land to make it more fertile and provide resources for all of us.

Materials needed are, Water, Tissue paper or cotton, 1 box, Beaker, jar full of dirt, and a cut straw.

As we can see from the cloud or cotton ball, water or supposed rain is falling down on to the earth. As it falls down, we can see dirt absorbing it as water in the ground is reintroduced or recharged. Because of this it is called groundwater recharge, and for the same reasons this is also a hydrologic process. An ocean or sea that connects to a river which then later connects to a piece of land can also recharge groundwater, as the water the river carries can be absorbed by the land. Groundwater recharge can also carry many benefits for the land surrounding it as will be more mist which is better for agriculture, people living around there will have a seasonal supply of water, and lastly water can carry various kinds of minerals which would be introduced into the soil through the water.
