Use- sedimentary rocks on the crust of the earth, continental or oceanic plate, how folds are formed etc.</strong><br><em>Mountains are a type of landform which have steep slopes and a pointy peak or summit. These structures can be very tall. They may or may not have snowy peaks. They usually have cold temperatures at the top due to altitude temperatures .These mountains are home to many species on their lower region. Their existence is very important to nature. They also get us money as these are a tourist hotspot.</em></div><div><br><strong><em>These Mega-structures are formed when tectonic plates collide and /OR diverge. They can also be formed due to volcanic activity.<br></em></strong><strong>FOLD:</strong> Fold mountains are formed when convergent plate boundary takes place. When subduction happen, the top plate is folded at some parts creating mountains.<br><strong>BLOCK: </strong>Block or fault mountains are formed when two plated diverge. This diverging causes middle part of the crust to sink. The other side parts rise up and create mountains.<br><strong>DOME: </strong>Dome mountains are formed when magma swells up some crust and pushes it up. It is not able to break through the crust but uplifts the land which makes a mountain.<br><strong>VOLCANIC: </strong>Volcanic mountains are formed when magma stored in the magma chamber erupts through the vent. The magma leaks onto the earths surface and is now called lava. After many such eruptions, the solid lava forms a cone shaped volcanic mountain.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The Aravallis and Himalayas are some example of fold mountain. This structure has steep slopes and is very high. It also has a peak called a summit. The bottom of a mountain is called a foot. many mountains together are called a mountain range. There are 4 types of mountains - Dome mountains, fold mountains, fault block mountain and volcanic mountains. Mountains are formed due to tectonic plate boundaries. In convergent plate boundaries, one plate pushes the other down. This process is called subduction. The plate that goes upwards forms a mountain. In divergent plate boundaries, two plates diverge or go away from each other. The piece of land in between them sinks and the ground on the sides forms the mountain. <br>Here is a volcanic mountain.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Greetings, my name is Bhavya Agarawal and I will be presenting a model of groundwater recharge.&nbsp; Before looking at the model, let us understand what Groundwater recharge is. Groundwater recharge in simple words is the process of water entering soil or land to make it more fertile and provide resources for all of us.</div><div><br>Materials needed are, Water, Tissue paper or cotton, 1 box, Beaker, jar full of dirt, and a cut straw.<br><br></div><div>As we can see from the cloud or cotton ball, water or supposed rain is falling down on to the earth. As it falls down, we can see dirt absorbing it as water in the ground is reintroduced or recharged. Because of this it is called groundwater recharge, and for the same reasons this is also a hydrologic process. An ocean or sea that connects to a river which then later connects to a piece of land can also recharge groundwater, as the water the river carries can be absorbed by the land. Groundwater recharge can also carry many benefits for the land surrounding it as will be more mist which is better for agriculture, people living around there will have a seasonal supply of water, and lastly water can carry various kinds of minerals which would be introduced into the soil through the water.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello, my name is Aryan Chhabra and today, I will be presenting a model of how a fold mountain is formed. Before we see this, I would like to explain what a fold mountain even is; and a few examples. Firstly, let me give you some examples. Fold mountains are pretty common; so here are a few- The Himalayas, The alps, And the Andes. Now that you know these are fold mountains, lets talk about how they are formed. Fold mountains are created when two tectonic plates collide. As this happens, the rocks folded into rocky hills, mountains, sometimes even entire entire mountain ranges! (Note that this takes over a time of 500 million or more years! Now that's pretty cool! Finally! Time to show you my model to demonstrate this amazing event!
