When I took Scarlett into the wrong lead going into the trot

I was about to trot and Scarlett was ready with her head down and nice, so I asked her to trot but she picked up the wrong lead (a lead is when a horse has a certain leg that goes in front of the other foot when trotting, loping, and galloping. if the horse goes into the wrong lead while trotting, loping or galloping, it could be dangerous). My trainer made her walk and trot again trying to trot her on the correct lead (If she was on the wrong lead it could cause her to fall (on me) or have discomfort), but it just happened again, on the wrong lead. I tried again using my legs and pushing on her shoulder and taking my left leg off of her, and I began trotting on the right lead! I learned that you have to use your legs and reins to be able to trot on the right lead, and that it could be dangerous if you trotted (or even worse, loped and didn't correct it) on the wrong lead and didn't fix that problem.

In Texas me and my cousins do an annual Christmas play. Last Christmas my cousin Trevor wanted to be in it. We remember the year before that he wanted to be in it, but instead he tried ruining it. So we didn't let him be in it. After that we felt horrible so we all apologized, and gave him a part in the Christmas play. I learned that I should include any body no matter what they have don.
~Tayler Peterson

I have made a big mistake. I was making meatloaf for dinner. I followed every direction correctly, or at least I thought so. I put 1/2 cup of salt in the meatloaf instead of 1/2 teaspoons. We took it out of the oven when it should have been done and saw it was a mushy mess. We tasted the meatloaf, and it was extremely salty!!!! I learned I need to pay more attention to my food measurements.

Hannah (: * (: * (: * (: *(: * (: * (: * (: *(: * (: * (

One day at swim, my coach told me that my freestyle strokes were too short when I wanted to swim faster. She told me to slow down and take longer strokes, and I would go faster because I would be pulling more water. So I tried it, and my coach said it looked better already. A few weeks later, a friend who just moved to Texas called my mom. It happened to be right before we left for swim. She used to teach swim lessons, so my mom sent her a few videos of me swimming. She said, " Think ice cream cone." She meant to visualize that you're scooping ice cream. That day, I tried it, and this week, my mom sent another video to her. She replied that I looked even better! I learned that if you want to practice or work on something and you can't figure it out, you have to persevere, and God will do the rest.

One mistake I made was leaving our front door open. When I was walking our little dog, Toby, I accidentally left our front door open. Because I left the door open our husky, Koda, ran out the door and up the street. My sister and I had to run after him up the street and around the corner. I learned that I should not leave the door open when Koda is outside his room. I also learned that I need to be more responsible being a pet owner. I would have been very sad if I had lost Koda.
- James

We had a lot 0f friends over, and while everyone was downstairs in the basement,my brother and his friend went upstairs. They where hanging out in his room. Then something came to there minds to play a prank on me. So while I was downstairs, they shut my bedroom door, and waited by the little wall by the staircase. My friend asked my to get something from my room, so I went upstairs to get it.Once I stepped on the top floor, My brother and his friend popped out of nowhere, and scared the living daylights out of me.I screamed and ran towards my room while closing my eyes and, WHAM!!!! I ran into the door.I had a huge bruise on my head and a black eye for a while. What I learned is to always watch where I'm are going(especially when I am driving, who knows what could happen). _+*Ella*+_

Many times when I was in 3rd grade, I did not do my homework when my mom told me to. The reason was because of me not sitting still on my seat. After what seemed like a couple of days or weeks, I finally decided to be diligent and stop moving, and I started to finish my homework quicker. I learned that I should be diligent and do the task. ~Nicholas

I looked up a video on how to make it and I still was struggling with creating it. After a few hours of me trying to make it and failing, I gave up in frustration. Thirty minutes later, I tried to make it one again and I did it right this time and it looked pretty good.
Be thinking about mistakes that allow you to demonstrate a growth mindset. Meaning, a mistake that you made when trying something new or overcoming a difficult struggle. We all make mistakes for sure. Some of them are just more connected to a GROWTH MINDSET rather than just learning not to do something again. Think about a mistake that allowed you to learn something about growth mindset. It could even be a mistake on test or schoolwork that helped you grow in your learning because you didn't give up.
