All of us had to deal with the same subject – the rainforest – but each with a different part of the key competences. It was interesting to see how everybody dealt with the subject in his own way and presented very practicable lessons or small projects for pupils, whereby they can learn from their environment or as Rita would say: learning through experience.
 
Rita presented us the KA2 Erasmus + project. Once more, I noticed how much a small step of a person or an idea that is mentioned to others can influence what will be done next. In a smaller environment this means, new cooperations and new projects always starts with somebody having an idea and sharing it with others.

It was also good to realize that it is not too difficult to combine the key competences with the approach of leaving the classroom and - as Rita would maybe call it - "learning through experience". Rita emphasized and explained the different Erasmus + projects on the basis of her wide range of personal experience. She is so incredibly motivating by showing and living her passion. It was wonderful to cook together in our mini creole cooking class and enjoy the Caribbean food that Rita and Michel had prepared. Possibility to pick up the most beautiful shell for yourself. These shells guadeloupians use in there traditional music groups playing them like trumpets with certain rhythms. Food of Creole made by ourselves was too good to be true. Barracuda grilled on an open fire was the main dish. Coco was used as juice but also as a dessert cream. 
At 11 AM the temperature was 35 celcius, but no worry the Atlantic Ocean was beside us.
From the seventh (out of eight) key competence I had an opportunity to make a rainforest orchestra with my team by choosing characteristic qualities for everyone from the text of definition of "sense of initiative and entrepreneurship".
If we have had time enough we could have heard sounds from the waterfall, wind etc. In spite of a hurry we had time enough to make good music together in a rain forest. Actually I was astonished how daring all found there special instruments playing them boldly.
I learned the first steps for starting a new project in my own school:
1. What is your interest?
2. Look at key competencies and choose as many as suites to your project.
3. Write all down in your curriculum.

Today's session has been outdoors again on the Pointe de Chateaux beach.  Rita has reviewed the session 7 and the session 8. It has been a magnificent day but I definitely highlight today's lunch. With the help of Rita and Michael, today we participated in the preparation of part of the lunch shredding carrots, grating coconut, cutting, preparing some vegetables for a typical seasoning here ... Grilled fish, rice with beans and banana to the Barbecue with chocolate, honey and coconut cream has been our menu, and a wooden cabin on the beach has been our restaurant.
