The rather serious girl, dressed in vintage clothing sitting on an antique couch in an otherwise empty room, has an unsettling feel to it. The girl has an upright sitting position and a stern face that looks older than her years. A cat is her companion which appears to be relaxed within the scene.

The desaturated tones of the image also allude to a time long past. There is a sense of austerity and expectation in the image. Perhaps she has just come in to the room to be spoken to by her parents about something she has done wrong, or maybe she is about to receive some bad news.

a lovely lady backstage at her burlesque show, her setting is filled with clutter and things she uses to get ready for the show, but amongst the clutterer she sits proud and poses for the camera, although the room is a bit drab it is still very glitz and glamour kind of atmosphere because the showgirl is the centre focus in this image and looks absolutely gorgeous, i image this is set in the early-mid 1900's so like 1940-1960ish very Marylin Monro bombshell, while backstage in a local club at the more lower-class end of town she makes her living with her fabulous moves and seduction.

This image does not have any bright colours and sets a dark mood. The studio light shinning on the girl says that she is in the spotlight. Due to her position she looks like she is going to be on a stage, maybe she is about to perform something like a dance. My initial that was that she was a ballerina by the way she is positioned although her shoes are obviously just heels so it suggests something else. Because of the lighting her facial expression is harder to recognise.

The framing of the shot omits the end of the hallway leaving a sense of uncertainty within the photograph. This feeling allows us to infer the woman’s disposition, some event has occurred, leaving her within suggested hopelessness that has no clear path or escape from. The foreboding and unreliable quality of her reality provided by the mysterious future of the hallway holds for her has caused her to succumb to her anguish, unable to move from her position, this stillness allow the photo to capture an enriched narrative.

She depicts a warm domestic scene of a man and women in bed, lit up by a burnt yellow hue. the man is sat upright slightly leaning forward smoking a cigarette. he's positioned in a side angle letting the bright warm light face him directly illuminating the front of this body, casing a light shadow over his unclothed back. this shadow then falls on the woman who is laying down beside him looking slightly over as the man smokes.

the setting is quite bare instead focusing on utilizing the warm toned lighting to highlight the domesticity of the pair, along side the soft lighting creating a intimate atmosphere exposing the closeness and vulnerability that is present between the two.
