   Use short, interactive icebreakers such as quick polls, “two truths and a lie,” or even a light physical stretch. These simple activities wake students up and shift them from passive listening to active participation.

2. Make the Content Relatable
   Connect the day’s topic to their own lives or future careers. For example, pose a thought-provoking real-world question (“How does this apply to your daily routine or future job?”) before diving into theory. This primes students to see the value of what they are about to learn.

3. Interactive, Not Just Instructional
   Incorporate mini challenges, quick group discussions, or gamified quizzes (e.g., Kahoot, Mentimeter). The competitive but fun element encourages participation and creates a positive buzz.

4. Positive and Supportive Tone
   A warm welcome, some humor, and acknowledgement of their efforts for showing up early helps set the mood. When students feel appreciated and safe to contribute, they are more likely to engage.

5. End with a “Hook”
   Don’t just close the session—end by teasing what’s coming next (“Next week we’ll test this idea in a live simulation—can your team solve it faster than the others?”). This leaves students curious and eager to return.
