An Interactive Whiteboard is an education tool that allows images on a computer to be displayed on a board using a projector. The teacher can that manipulate these elements on the board by using his finger as a mouse directly on the screen or with the use of a calibrated pen. Items can be clicked, dragged and hand written notes can even be written directly on the board.

SMART Exchange is a resource which provides teachers with the opportunity to connect with other teachers who have created SMART lesson plans. Teachers have the ability to search publicly shared lesson plans than can be used on the SMART Board in their classroom. It opens up a wide variety of chances for teachers to collaborate with one another and share ideas for interactive white boards.
