1. The whole song is about how she (Possibly Kelly Clarkson) gets over something (possibly a breakup), and how she gets braver/stronger and overcomes the challenges she faced. I believe that is revolutionary because she is fighting the pain and trying to change her life and show she isn't weak like the other person thinks.

2. She says "What dosen't kill you makes you stronger", and that basically means You become stronger every day you are hurt (mentally or physically) . This song motivates other people to stand up to and for others and that they are brave, and knowing that it changes them inside.

Historical/Social Context: Hopefully everyone has had at least one relationship (When they are adult) and have to go through a breakup, and usually both people in the relationship are depressed after their first breakup (maybe more), so this song relates to society and people. This song shows that you are always strong inside, and just have to believe in yourself and overcome it, it helps them change their lives.

Why I chose this song: I couldn't decide on a song at first, and I was looking up ideas. I finally found this song, and took a long time to look at the lyrics. I decided it was revolutionary (calling for change) when i realized it was about overcoming challenges and moving on.

Why the artist wrote it: I think Kelly Clarkson wrote this song because she was going through a tough time, maybe socially or something family related sometime during her life. She probably wrote this song to get over it, and motivate her to be strong.

1. "You didn't think I would come back swinging" - She isn't literally "swinging" at him, she means that he didn't think she would still be strong and a warrior

2. "You think you've had the last laugh" - She doesn't mean that he laughed the last laugh ever, because that would mean there is no one alive or something and he laughed the last laugh, she means that he thinks he won and got the best of her, but he didn't.

3. "You try to break me" - She doesn't mean that someone tried to actually break her like a glass or something, she means someone tried to hurt her or make her sad in some way, but i'm guessing she means that they didn't succeed and that she is better than ever.

4. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" - She isn't literally saying that if you don't die you get stronger, she means every time you have been down/hurt/saddened, you become tougher or stronger because of it.

5. "Think you've left me broken down" - She dosent mean she was actually broken down like a car or something, she means that the other person thinks they made her feel sad, mad, etc. "Broken down" refers to someone or something that dosent work/do stuff like they used to.
