We, the roller conveyors, have been helping humans for thousands of years. The Egyptians used our wood brothers to build the pyramids. We, the younger brothers are more complex and advanced even though we follow the same concept of our ancient brothers.
What we do is moving different materials in a factory during assembly. Everyone is interested how the products like cereal,chewing gum or CD players are created, but barely anyone is interested in how we, the pieces that make the assembly easier and possible, are made.

We are made of different parts. I'm a part of the conveyor frame, a vertical rail. I get bent by a huge press in order to get the appropriate shape. After that a worker connects me with my twin brother, another vertical rail, with steel supports called cross members. We get welded and together we form the frame of the conveyor. As a frame, we now get a new painting that will help us fighting corrosion.
After that we get connected with our friend, a chain driven axel that will spin the roller.  We are all part of a hard working machine.
But this group,our group is not enough to make a roller conveyor. That's why the workers have to put groups of friends and family members like ours , all together so we can make a big roller that works smoothly. After getting all linked together we have to pass different tests and measurements in order to be allowed to work. But it's not like we can do something to improve our scores at the test or pass it without trouble. If we are made faulty we have to be replaced, which brings great suffering to our groups because we get separated from our friends and families. We won't be thrown away, but just remade properly.
