         <title>Democracy </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Definition- a government in which citizens hold the power to rule.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Definition- a form of government in which a king or queen acts as a head of state. Making and passing legislation is completed by an elected parliament. The single leader does not hold much power. </p><p>Example- Tonga is a constitutional monarchy because it has a prime minister and the legislative branch is elected by parliament. A dictator often utilizes the police and military forces to maintain power.          <description><![CDATA[<p></p><p><span>The difference between a democratic government and an authoritarian government is, a democratic government is ruled by the people, and an authoritarian government is ruled by one person who holds all power over the people. In a democracy, all of the direct power is given to the people whereas in an authoritarian government, all direct power is given to a leader.
