         <description><![CDATA[I like that it used a historical Poem and showed me that finding some facts, opinions, and statistics about the subject is a very useful part in your essay. I now know how to read in a way that I didn't know before, like comparing details, looking for patterns, or noticing no patterns. I think this will help me understand from a different point of view. I like that it said to think of things that you have never wanted to think about, "Subversive". I tend to read stories so literally, so this will be a new start for me. Reading these chapters have taught me a lot of ways to understand and analyze my readings. <br>The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire-<br>"Because the owners had locked the doors to the stairwells and exits – a then-common practice to prevent workers from taking unauthorized breaks and to reduce theft<sup><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangle_Shirtwaist_Factory_fire#cite_note-Liff-6"><u>[6]</u></a></sup> – many of the workers could not escape and jumped from the high windows."<br><br>]]></description>
