A ‘Long Island’ will be built off Singapore’s eastern coast. It will completely change the view from East Coast Park. This huge project is meant to protect Singapore’s coastline against sea level rise. The reclaimed land will also provide space for new waterfront living.

I think we are very fortunate to live in a place like Singapore where the government spends so much to protect the coastline. I think this is important so that the chances of floods and other natural disasters. I don't think that Singapore needs change in landscape and it is ok the way it is.

I feel very fortunate to be living in Singapore where the government has spent so much to protect Singapore’s coastline. Because when our country floods, people or pets who do not know how to swim might drown themselves and we would find shortage in food or face other challenges. But when we have the Long Island, we are prepared for future floods and can evacuate to Long Island.

Other than that, I would like to see an island for enjoying and relaxing.

I feel grateful,fortunate and appreciate the government because it is contributing to Singapore a lot and bulding this coastline to protect us from floods. I would love to see cleaner and greener beaches as sometimes, people throw their trash there.

I feel extremely fortunate to be living in Singapore where the government has spent so much money to protect our coastline because when sea levels rise, people may not be able to swim, and will have a high chance of drowning. With the Long Island, our island and people will be protected. It also protects us from floods and gives our tiny island more space for houses and buildings. Singapore is a clean and green country but I would love to see it become cleaner and greener! We can all do our part by cleaning up behind us. Remember, one small act can make a big difference.

Yes, I feel very fortunate to be living in Singapore because the government Mr Lee Hsien Loong has paid a lot to protect Singapore

I hope to see less litter and more plants and animals in Singapore... sadly we have lost many animals such as the Malayan tiger, leopard, cream coloured giant squirrel and more

these animals are extinct(in Singapore) from the doing of us humans so we have to keep our environment clean in order to protect wildlife
