Going to the YMCA daycare

I do not really enjoy hearing memories from this place. I got in trouble a lot and this is where I get evaluated and diagnosed with ADHD.

3rd grade teacher

My 3rd grade teacher gave me tools to combat my ADHD, such as a wobbly seat to bounce on, sticky tack under my desk to play with and a giant rubber band on my chair legs to kick.

Switching schools

I went to Lehigh Valley Academy K-5th. I then transferred to Arts Academy Charter Middle school to pursue my love of dance. They didn't focus on their academics much there so I transfered to Salisbury in 7th grade and that where I graduated from!

Choosing Education

I started teaching swimming lessons to kids my senior year of highschool and fell in love with the concept of teaching children and helping them learn things they didn't know. This helped me finally decide what I wanted to do with my life.

Working at a daycare

Since I started working at a daycare I have worked with all ages birth-5th grade. I originally wanted to teach 3rd grade because of the type of math that gets taught and the PSSAs start that year. After working in the daycare with some 3rd graders I have come to realise they are more mature and I would like to work with younger groups. I have decided 2nd grade is where my heart yearns to be, and even though they are a year below 3rd grade I feel they are just right for me.

Future Goals

I plan to transfer to Kutztown when I graduate from LCCC and obtain my masters degree right away! I then want to move to Italy and teach to children for a couple years.
