Arches- These are monumental structures that built to form at least one or more passageways that take up an arched form.

Columns and Open Spaces- Romes goal was to make their building to have large spaces inside. The columns mixed together with walls and arches.

Written Laws-The Roman empire lasted a long time because of the written laws.Rome's laws were kept in public display so that officials who held high positions were still fair to the others.

Rights and duties of citizens-An example of duties of the citizens is that male citizens had to go to the army whenever needed.An example of the rights of the Roman's is that are person way still innocent until proven guilty.

Another example of how the Romans affected us was columns and open spaces.America used that when building the white house because for example in the front of the house there is 6 columns and a large open patio.

I see an example of the Roman government in our written laws. We as the United States have books and more books about the laws among the country and the state. Each law has to be followed or the person that breaks them will get punished.
