Van Gogh's expressive brushwork and use of bold colors create a sense of movement and emotion, evoking the turbulence and beauty of the night sky.

"Starry Night" is not just a landscape; it's a window into van Gogh's inner turmoil and creative vision.

One of the most iconic and enigmatic pieces of art is Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," also known as La Gioconda. Created between 1503 and 1506, this masterpiece captures a half-length portrait of a woman, believed to be Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a wealthy Florentine merchant. The painting is known for the subject's enigmatic expression, which seems to subtly change as one gazes upon it, a phenomenon often referred to as the "Mona Lisa effect." . The woman is portrayed against a dreamy landscape, with winding rivers, distant mountains, and a winding path that creates a sense of depth and perspective. Leonardo's use of sfumato, a technique of subtle blending and softening of colors and outlines, adds to the painting's mysterious and ethereal atmosphere.

The Creation of Adam Also know as The creation of Man,is a fresco painting by Italian artist Michelangelo, which forms part of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling, painted  1508–1512.it illustrates the Biblical creation narrative from the Book of Genesis in which God gives life to Adam, the first man.The painting has been reproduced in countless imitations and parodies.Michelangelo's Creation of Adam is one of the most replicated religious paintings of all time.Michelangelo's main source of inspiration for his Adam in his Creation of Adam may have been a cameo showing a nude Augustus Caesar riding sidesaddle on a Capricorn. My opinion on this picture is that Michelangelo vividly depicted how God gave life to the first man

The Mourning in a Pine Forest was painted by russian artists Ivan Shishkin and Konstantin Savitsky in 1889. It is an oil painting and it shows a gorgeous forest landscape in the background with little bears in the foreground. The bears were painted by Savitsky, and the forest was painted by Shishkin. It is believed that Shishkin was inspired by the pine trees near Gorodomlya island, which is located on lake Seliger.

This type of work is typical of Realism,an art movement which started in Europe in the 18th century. They used traditional techniques, hard forms and mostly cold colours. Their work shows realistic images and "the truth".

The painting was first exhibited in 1889 in Tretyakov's gallery. The russian art collector Pavel Tretyakov wrote on the painting Shishkin's signature saying "from idea to performance, everything discloses the painting manner and creative method peculiar just to Shishkin", so the masterpiece is now sometimes said to be only Shishkin's painting.
