Fostering belonging as a teacher that may not look like they belong

One barrier/question that we pondered as a group was that sometimes we may not connect with our students immediately, but are responsible with fostering a community of belonging. There is a larger question of connecting with students and working with students on unpacking biases and judgements of one another.

We have students collaborating in the classroom so all participants feel that they can support a larger cause. The students generate the questions, and answer each other's questions in order to show that each student can support each student.
