One fact that makes him interesting:
He gave into the church when threatened with execution. He believed that the earth was still. Because of this theory, he was put on house arrest until his death in 1642.

He was from Poland. He died in 1543.


What is he famous for?
For the solar system and all the plants and he said every plant goes around the sun and he is known for being the first astronomer.  This is called the Heliocentric Theory.

Copernicus is the one who made the solar system and the only one that really understood the solar system.

It is called a revolution because it is a time of change and revolving. It is an overthrow of the government or leaders. The social system is rebelled against.

Describe the Church's role in the scientific revolution.

While the church is heavily involved in education and science, the church was furious with people who made discoveries that rebelled or went against their way of life.





Describe at least one way that the scientific revolution has impacted human lives through medicine and science.

It changed the way people look at the solar system and cure diseases. People made important discoveries that impacted the future for humans forever.

The scientific method is important because it is a simple method to be used to test scientific theories.


Describe a situation when the scientific method would come in handy?
The scientific method will come in handy when recording data for a new medicine.


Describe the difference between false facts and proven facts. (hint: look up the definition of a fact and a false fact and compare the two) 
A fact can be proven while a false fact cannot be proven.


Why is it bad to mix religion and science? (Hint think about faith versus facts)
It's bad to mix religion and science because religion is something that doesn't have to be proven, while science has to be a fact.

Find out more about him, where is he from?  What was he famous for?

Andrea Vesalius was famous for his human anatomy and he was from Brussels Belgium a part of the Holy Roman Empire.



How was he able to create his accurate drawings?
Since the tradition of the roman did not allow him to dissect a human, he had to make do by dissecting animals. Mostly dissecting and writing about oxen and barbary macaques. But did end up dissecting a women and learning even more about the body.




How did his art impact society?
He gave people that wanted to look at the inside of the body a canvas.
