In other words, I was always alone and I thought I didn't need others. However, my opinion changes.
It is my first semester at FSHA, as a boarding student, I have to get used to this new environment and get used to the boarding life. One thing that changes me a lot happened these days.  Because of some misunderstanding, I didn't get along well with one of my roommates. I was upset during that time and I didn't know how to adjust my mood. It even affects my grade. One day, on the road to boarding hall, I chatted with one of my friends. Then she talked about her friendship. I really admired her friendship and I thought that probably I could ask her for help. I talked to her about my worry and my current situation. She listened to me patiently, and finally, she gave me some advice. It really helped me. After that, whenever I had troubles, I always talk to her. I felt the joy of friendship. Thinking back to it, I feel so lucky to meet her and to become friend with her. She is the person who gave me her hand when I needed help. Without her, I can't imagine what would happen next. Probably I would keep struggling with that relationship and my grades keep declining. It really changes my perspective on friendship. Friendship becomes the most important part of my life.
Another thing was happened at the beginning of this month. Because I am not outgoing, I don't make too many friends here. On the day before my birthday, I thought that no one would remember my birthday. However, on the second day, when I opened my door, I found a delicate gift with a birthday card. To my surprise, it was from a junior that I was not quite familiar with. On that card, she said, "Do you remember the day that I asked you what kind of chocolate you like? I hope you have a wonderful day! Happy birthday!" When I opened that gift, it was my favorite chocolate. I was deeply touched by her. I was moved by the gift that she prepared carefully. At that time, my heart was warmed by her. I suddenly felt the world was so beautiful, everyone around me is filled with kindness. I closed the door of my heart before, but I was totally changed at that time.

I grew from a little girl who only depends on her parents to an independent girl. I grew from one that always asks help from others to one always helps others.
The biggest change is that-- I have a bunch of friends now.  During the time that studied in FSHA, I found a truth that friend is the person who brings you light when you have a rough day. They bring me happiness and surprise. Moreover, they give me courage. I still remember the first day in FSHA, everything here is new to me. I was nervous and I even didn't know where should I go. At that time, Cici, who has the same class with me, helped me to find the right classroom. She walked into my heart bravely and helped me. Now, she is one of my best friends.
