         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>1899-1961</li><li>Won Nobel prize for literature in 1954</li><li>Got awards/medals from the Italian gov after WWI for fighting in the war</li><li>He wrote both short stories and novels but his novels are more famous: The Sun Also Rises(1926), A Farewell to Arms (1929), he also wrote much later For Whom the Bell Tolls and then The Old Man and the Sea in the 1940s and 50s.</li><li>Fun fact: His first job was working at a newspaper in KC. </li></ul>]]></description>
