Introduction
Human Rights - Human rights means the rights all humans have no matter what.

L.I.F.E. means to me:

Living during the Age of Exploration and Colonization, the people were exploring the world looking for resources and places to colonize.

This time period connects to Inventing with the Age of Reason and Revolution by all of the materials and people colonizing other places led to people finding new things and that led to new ideas and people making new things.

The Age of Reason and Revolution connects to the Formulating of the Gilded Age and World War one because to people making new things it also got them to do things by themselves and make them make guilds.

The Gilded Age and World War I leads to Expanding because when you have guilds people would want to make alliances with other guilds so they can be more powerful. some alliances got mad at others and started war and usually after war new nations can appear.

I learned about colonization and how people colonized things like the new world. I'm proud of how I did on this product overall with things like learning how people colonized.

Connection:

A human right that I learned from the lesson is human right #1 we are all born free and equal, because when Christopher Columbus went to find a new land he treated the natives like they were under his status and then Christopher Columbus used them as slaves and didn't treat them as free people.

Application to present day:

This human right is being used properly today because people of different race, color, gender, and ethnicity are treating each other the same and don't use each other of like slaves and everyone get the same pay if they do the same job.

I could've done better on how the world was allied in WWI and who was against who.

Connection:

Human right #23 workers rights, was being denied because in WWI countries all around the world are using child labor to build things that will help out their armed forces.

Application to present day:

In present day human right #23 workers rights, is being accepted because there is no more child labor and it is illegal to force children to work.

I am proud of this product and how i did on it. I could've done better on how germany was divided into four places and who owned each part of germany.

Connection:

A human right that was being taken away during WWII is human right #15 right to nationality, because everyone has the right to be themselves. They shouldn't be hated on being British or being Christian or even being in another place different from where they live. Well Hitler did hate everyone who wasn't like him and resulted in killing many Jewish people for just being Jewish which isn't right.

Application to present day:

Today human right #15 right to nationality, isn't denied you are allowed to be any ethnicity, religion, or gender you want to be without being scared of it and you won't have to be worried about being killed.

Conclusion
At the beginning of the year, I believed "JUST" to mean a place where all human rights are followed and are used properly.

Beginning of the year:

What does an ideal, “just” community look like?

A place where you are able to have all human rights

2.
What are human rights? Who is entitled to human rights?

Rights that a human should have. Every human being on planet earth

3.Does where you live affect the extent to which your human rights are protected?

Yes the place where you live does affect the extent of the human rights

4.What are some barriers to human rights?

The places where you live because if you live in a desert it's hard to find water

5.What happens when people live where they don’t have human rights? Give an example.

They Are treated unfairly. Places in Africa some people are slaves

6.Name one champion of human rights, and describe how he/she worked to create a more just society.

Gandhi helped with human rights. One way he helped is he did a salt walk from where he lived to where they make salt to lower price on salt

7.What can you do to support human rights and build a more just society?

Follow human rights and try to make them known

8.Find an interesting picture from A Life Like Mine. What page is it on? What is it of?

On page 93 a kid is pushing another kid in a wheelchair so the kid can still have fun even though he can't walk.

Now at the end of the year, my thinking has slightly changed. Now I believe "JUST" to mean everyone follows human rights and treats everyone equal and has fun but by always abiding by the human rights.
