Having full blast of Gwo Ka in supernatural Creole garden made absolutely perfect sense to see the children learning the drum. The love and passion that the teachers had for their children and the activities explained a lot about the perfect discipline in school. Observe and learn! Afterwards they invited us to join them in the dance. The rhythm they used was The Mendé
We were also lucky enough to be invited in for a music session with the Gwo Ka drums. The rhythm used was The Roulé. The teacher was kind enough to let us try as well while the pupils were watching. We had today the opportunity too, to follow a music lession.They learned to play GWO KA rhytms with the drums. What a joy to follow their entusiasm! In the other class they did present a dance show, dancing the local dance, GWO KA dance.

We attended a music class and students learnt how to play the traditional drums. I am glad that the young students learn the traditional music and dances already! This time it was even more fun because we had pupils dancing with us. They are so small and sweet but yet they are very careful when listening and learning how to play drums. Many of them have a great sense of rhythm and are natural dancers. I think that we should insist more on learning about rhythm in Croatia since with young pupils. Music and dance heal our bodies and souls.

No wild playing around but just entertaining and interesting sequences of music dance and games. And above all well behaving extremely polite and friendly and touching kids. I thought it was Very amazing to See and be a part of dancing and playing the traditional drums of Guadeloupe in a traditional Guadeloupean Rythm.
