         <description><![CDATA[<div>In December 1866, the Dakota Territory was home to another group of Sioux, the Lakota, nomads who had won control of their hunting ground from other Native Americans. The U.S army began to build forts along the Bozeman Trail which was a path to the Montana gold mines. Crazy horse had tricked the fort's commander into sending Captain William Fetterman around 80 soldiers out to take what they thought would be a small raiding party. Although hundreds of eager warriors wiped out the units which marked the start of the war.</div>]]></description>

The Lakota people left their reservation and moving to montana to find new territory to hunt. The battle between Lakota and Cheyenne which defeated more than 200 soldiers as well as Custer. Lakota fled to Canada, everyone else went to their previous reservation. </div>]]></description>

Many dakoda lived in poverty and faced starvation because the local traders refused to provide food, this caused the Dakota to protest by launching a rebellion that killed hundreds of settlers.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>in 1867 congresses formed an indian peace commission witch made two large indian reservations that was for the indians to live. except the indian peace commision was doomed for failure because they could assure that the indian leaders would sign it, even if they did they could just move out because of the harsh conditions. by 1870 most of the indian tribes moved out because they preferred hunting buffalo on the open plains, and by that the buffalo started rapidly decreasing population and by 1889 few buffalo remained.  </div>]]></description>
