Roberto said he loves to play basketball. This book is longer in page count but it is a simple read with not too many words on each page. It won multiple awards too. They are fun and silly which will make it something entertaining to do. Also if he likes one of them they have multiple more which would be perfect. I think this would be a good book to read because it is about a boy who goes through stuff as a young black man in America in the south, seeing predigest and many things happen to his family.
