The pupils had to complete pre-designed activities in 4 learning stations. After they were separated in 5 groups of 5 people, they had to vote for a leader of their team. This leader had to be a pupil from the 6th Grade. Then, they made a choice of the activity they wanted to do. 

These activities were an adventurous treasure hunt with an award in the end, a scavenger hunt( they had to gather certain things from the farm, for example 5 white pebbles), the map game (the children had to match 10 certain animals with their country of origin on a big world map we had brought with us from our school) and a worksheet based on the animals hosted on the farm. 

All 5 teams did all the activities in turns and what is noteable is the fact that the activites were both in the English and the German Language.

 

In terms of the English subject, the pupils of the 5th Grade of the 2nd Primary School of Karditsa were taught about the formation and the right use of the Present Continuous Tense. Concerning the German Language, the students of the 6th Grade learnt the colours.

All together, then, they visited the local Art Gallery and they tried to practice what they had learnt so far. The teachers of the English and the German Language, having prepared cross-curricular worksheets beforehand, accompanied them and offering the propes instructions helped them to carry out this particular activity. 

They tried to describe paintings created by a famous local artist using the English Language. Afterwards, doing research they were called to offer answers to the spontaneous German questions. In the end, they chose their favourite painting and they tried to draw and paint it in their own way!
