OPTIC for Duty French poster

Overview - There are two men standing over a hill, and a plane is flying behind them, clouds in the background.

Parts - The colors of the background actually are the colors of the French flag. Red, white, and blue. The men seem to be looking at something below them, and the plane seems to be flying towards whatever the two men are staring. There's also text saying "Do it now" which will make more sense with the title.

Title - The title "Join the Air Service" is self explanatory, the poster wants people to join the air service for France, and there's even a small bit of text in the bottom left corner saying "Do it now" it seems that this piece of propaganda wants to make people drop everything they're doing, and join the Air Service.

Interrelationships - All people in the poster seem to be military people, except the guy in the plane, he seems to be in the air service. The colors also are a great choice. The red makes it look like the moment is in a sunset, the white represents the clouds, showing that these people are very high in the sky. And the blue represents the water (I think), and how they're so high, they can see the seashore.

Conclusion - The message of this poster is pretty clear, they just want people to join the French Air Service and help them to fight a war. The artist is trying to show that doing Air Service is pretty calming, and that if you do work there, you can see pretty views like the one drawn in the poster.

OPTIC for Sentimental Soldiers in Siberia poster

Overview - There are two soldiers standing in a forest, snow everywhere, and some cabins beside and behind them.

Parts - The two soldiers seem to be talking to each other, maybe having a neat conversation, the snowy, dark, background may make the soldiers look like they're freezing, but the lights from the cabins seems to be keeping them warm, or at least the coloring and lighting makes it look like that. and the text from the poster shows us that the poster is actually for Christmas! And another text tell us how our soldiers have worked over the top for us, and how WE should go over the top for them, by buying war savings stamps.

Title - This title (which I assume is) "Our soldiers in Siberia!" tells us how our American soldiers have worked so much to reach to the point they are right now, they are in the cold, and they seem to have worked a lot to reach a warm cabin from a cold dark forest.

Interrelationships - The two people in this poster, the soldiers, seem to be enjoying each others company, and seem to be having a nice conversation outside of a warm-looking cabin. The colors also look great in my opinion. The background is a forest with dark and cold looking colors, but when you see the two soldiers, they look heart warming, and pretty hot (Physically, not metaphorically) and the cabins and the soldiers seem to be just friendly.

Conclusion - The artists wanted us to feel sympathy for the soldiers, as they in the cold, fighting for us, but also want us to feel proud, as they seem to be friendly towards each other, and the text even tell us "They have gone over the top for us". They want us to have feelings towards these soldiers so that we buy war savings stamps, which the text states.

OPTIC for Fearful Question mark Ape poster

Overview - There is a huge ape that has bloody arms and hands, reaching out for the Earth, wearing a similar helmet to another ape from another propaganda poster, with a "?" (Question mark)

Parts - The colors seem to be simplistic, the background is a simple blue (They probably didn't have any photos or pictures of space, or it was just too hard to draw) the ape is the only living thing beside Earth itself, and the Ape seems to be spilling Blood everywhere on Earth. There isn't any text besides the simple, yet effective "?" (Question mark). And the ape, wearing a German-looking helmet, I believe represents Germany in this American poster.

Title - The title at first, doesn't seem like nothing, but if you keep thinking about it, and if you look at the ape's face, the ape seems to be very confused, it seems like he doesn't know what he even is doing, his face also seems a bit terrified, but the title actually makes it seem that the ape is actually spreading blood because they don't know what they're doing.

Interrelationships - The ape seems to have a horrible relationship with earth (Especially if the ape represents Germany) as he is spilling blood all over the Earth. The simple background and Title make this seem scary, as a Giant ape spilling blood everywhere we live would be terrifying, and I wouldn't like to think about it.

Conclusion - I believe that the ape spilling blood everywhere on earth is actually a representation of Germany in war. As the ape (Being Germany) is spilling blood everywhere, which is a representation of Germany sending soldiers and armies to fight, but when these wars happen, blood spreads everywhere, the blood of the Germany soldiers that REPRESENT Germany, thus explaining why the ape seems to be bleeding. So in my opinion this poster is a scary, yet thoughtful representation of war, and how Germany is spreading blood of their own soldiers, because they have no clue of what they are doing.

OPTIC for "Posters literally deluged the country" posters

Overview - There are four army men/ soldiers pointing their guns upward, they seem to be different types of soldiers, and there are multiple flags behind them.

Parts - The lightening seems to be below them, and they are mostly shaded in dark, as a ominous effect, but we should feel good for them, as they are good, so perhaps WE are the lights below them, inspiring our soldiers to go, and keep fighting for us.

Title - The title "Per la Liberta e la Civilita' del Mondo" (Which translated means "For Freedom and Civilization in the World") Shows us that these four soldiers are fighting for freedom and civilization. But notice how it says "In the world" it doesn't specify any country or anywhere else, it states that it is for freedom and civilization in the world, which is a pretty big statement, in my opinion.

Interrelationships - At first it may seem like these soldiers have nothing related to them, it may not even seem like they have any sort of relation-ship, but if you remember there is a thing called "allies" and it seems these soldiers may be allies. You can see each soldiers has a different type of outfit and each represent an allie, thus is the reason why they are standing beside each other, and it seems they are ready to fight for each other.

Conclusion - I believe this poster is a propaganda for Allies, and how we should trust them, and another message I believe this poster has is that the people (us) are the light in these soldiers life, or that they fight for us, and that may be a reason of their allience, because they have a reason (us) to team together and fight towards the enemy team, who are trying to harm us and our country.
