He was a groundbreaker regarding racial status and positions of power, a kid who rose from humble beginnings. He made big choices, like coming up with an economic stimulus plan that may have worked perfectly, may have had disastrous consequences. He authorized a kill raid directed at the terrorist of 9/11. He also put in play the ACA, which changed so much for some that everything might have fallen apart. But he prepared to succeed, and to do that and so many others, and to be successful, he had to work hard.
