My science background is minimal but my interest has only increased as I've gotten older. Within 8 months of starting at Valencia, I landed my dream job at a local state park where I manage the office, but am lucky enough to also partake in land management practices such as prescribed burning. 

I hope this course will increase my knowledge of the ecosystems I work to conserve on a daily basis. When not working, I spend time in my garden fostering an environment conducive to native wildlife.
