In gastroenterology, assisted in feeding assessments, observed diagnostic procedures, and provided patient education. Worked in neonatal intensive care, monitoring vital signs, assisting in respiratory care, and supporting premature infants. In the delivery room, helped stabilize newborns, performed initial assessments, and promoted mother-baby bonding. In general pediatrics, provided nursing care, administered medications, and supported the emotional needs of children and families.

During my clinical training, I had the privilege of working with a tutor who greatly influenced my approach to pediatric nursing. She was not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply compassionate, always emphasizing the importance of empathy in patient care. One moment that stood out was when she guided me through comforting a distressed child before a surgical procedure. Instead of focusing solely on the technical aspects, she taught me how to connect with the child emotionally, using play and gentle communication to ease their anxiety. Her patience and dedication inspired me to adopt a holistic approach, integrating both clinical skills and emotional support. She also encouraged me to ask questions and think critically, fostering my confidence in decision-making. Thanks to her guidance, I have become more aware of the emotional needs of young patients, and I aspire to carry forward her compassionate approach in my future career.

I imagine myself working in a specialized pediatric hospital, possibly in a neonatal intensive care unit or a surgical ward. My goal is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while integrating alternative therapies to enhance children’s well-being. I see my career evolving with continuous learning, possibly specializing in neonatal surgery or gastrointestinal disorders. In the future, I hope to participate in humanitarian missions, helping children in underserved areas. Ultimately, I want to create a meaningful impact on both individual patients and the broader field of pediatric nursing.
