That’s gonna be kinda weird because I have skipped the very first day of my padlet and I am now starting to my padlet from the second day.
I would love to talk about the first day of my PDC journey a bit. On that day I was very nervous and excited. Thanks to our wonderful teachers I was able to come over my feelings. We got to know each other and of course we have learnt a lot about PDC meetings.

When it comes to the second day of my journey ( I would like to call it a journey) I feel like I am getting more educated about English skills and PDC meetings. The sessions are quite entertaining and well enough to comprehend the aim of the course.

Today was full of fun and I really enjoyed today’s session. We had speaking session today and experienced many speaking activities. They all were wonderful. The activities are going to be very helpful for my students. I am looking forward to get back and use the activities with my students. And of course I will share my experience with my collegues in the PDC meetings. I am sure they will love it as well.
I am willing to use the acitivity called “ if I was a hero/heroine, I would be …” that has been my favorite one among the speaking activities that we experienced today. While doing this activity we got help from the app called “flip”. The app gives you the oppurtunity to record yourself which is the best part of it and then share it with the rest of the class. So I started to record myself and I said if I was a hero I would be a spaceman because I love the space and the space is my inspiration. Then I would be able to get anyone to the space if they wish. Before sharing it with the rest of the class I explained my thought/idea with our guest and she really liked it.( today we had a mystery guest. I took a selfie with her and here I am sharing our selfie with you guys.)

Today I will be trying to differentiate a reading task from the grade 9 coursebook on the page eighteen and nineteen as an outcome of the today session.

As you can see the picture above as a pre reading stage there is only one question “what is your dream job” so I dont think we can just start it like that. First of all in order to get students attention we may play a clip/video showing some common/popular jobs and what do they do. Then we can ask them questions like “what they would be doing in the future” or “what is their dream job” and of course “why”.

Then for the “reading for the gist” part we may give them one minute to read the text quickly and we may want them find the answers of the questions like “ what is the each student dream job” or “whose dream job is to be a famous football player” or “ whose dream job is to be famous tennis players”

When it comes to the “reading for detailed task” There two kinds of activity which are really good enough to comprehend the aim of the text and easy to do. There is no need to modify so if we want to do some changes on it though, we may make the numbers more. Or we can use a group work here. We can turn the type of the activity from the “complete the sentences” to “True/False” questions. And then We may make some pairs and want them ask the questions each other and answer.

As for the last part “ the post reading” part in the coursebook the activity wants students complete the sentences about themselves just like the activity at first. So here i want to do some changes and completely differentiate it. We may ask our students for searching their dream job on the internet and want them to do a short presentation about it. In this way we can make the activity “digitalised” as well.
