Later, two detectives, detective Williams and Karyl come to arrest him leaving Mrs. Harmon and Jerry confused. At the present time, Steve is back on trial and Allen Forbes, a city clerk confirms that the gun is Mr. Nesbitt's. The medical examiner James Moody explains the cause of death of Mr. Nesbitt wich was caused by the shock and his lungs filling blood. Later, Steve's mother comes to visit him and tells him that no matter what anyone says, she believes him and loves him. There is then an other flashback with King asking Steve to take part in the drugstore robbery. Back in the courtroom, Lorelle Henry, an important witness who was at the drugstore during the crime sais what she saw but only recognised King.
