this is a term I heard quite often on my first week at University of Leeds but noticed that no one has defined it. thus, it makes me wonder how University of Leeds, DES team, the Faculty of Environment team, each individual view CoPs, and if we truly are on the same page when we talk about the term. moreover, is CoPs something that is being encouraged to the students as well?

as i engaged in pebblepad, i noticed that making the pebblepad digitally "accessible" became more and more tedious as i developed more and more assets, portfolios, and pages. now, i consider myself an "accessibility advocate" but eventually felt exhausted going through the tedious process of making each asset accessible. so, i can imagine how difficult it would be for those who don't really care or is unaware of accessibility options. thus, i think moving forward it is important that the tools not only have accessible options but also make these options intuitive and user-friendly so that it not only affords the creation of accessible artefacts but actually encourages it.

i think pebblepad has a lot of potential uses that go beyond its inherent and intended affordances, and can be a great tool for supporting authentic assessment. with that said, the effectiveness of pebblepad as a tool for supporting authentic assessment is highly dependent on the implementation and adoption of it (as is with many tools). pebblepad is not as user-friendly and intuitive as it should be and therefore, can be daunting to some. it can also be very limiting, as it does not account for the various skill levels of its users.
