Hi my name is Ailyn , I was born here in las Vegas, but I was raised half of my life in Mexico in a really small town called caleras In Colima. For my hobbies I like to go shopping, travel and try new Food. Im always open to try something new. What brings me to Nevada state is seeking higher education in business. I hope I get to have my own little business in the future. My goals for writing is to learn how to write better and in a professional way. For me is a little hard to write because Spanish is my first language and I think im still learning english specially when it comes to writing.

One of the assignments im most exited about is Autoethnography. From the description of the syllabus it says we're going to adress a community problem we see. I think there could be a lot of topics we could talk about.

What is my late work policy?

Each student has 48 hours after the due date to submit late work without penalty. Once that time has elapsed, the assignment will close, and missing assignments will become a zero. Extensions will not be granted after 48 hours have passed and must be negotiated at least 24 hours before an assignment is set to lock.

How is class participation graded?

Students will collaborate with to design and revise a rubric for participation. Towards the end of the semester, students will self-assess (aka grade their own) participation in the course, which is worth 100 points.

This class is a safe and respectful environment for anyone. We don't have to share anything too personal if we don't want to. Some of the things we might read might be upsetting for some of us and thats okay. We're only sharing writings if its okay for others to read them and give feedback. We have to be open to hear different opinions and always speak with respect. And hurtful comments will not be permitted.

My First language is Spanish, for me Im still learning English specially because my vocabulary is not as good as a college student. My writing and presentations might not be perfect but I promise I'll try my best on everything I do.
