Women were portrayed as strong and willful in viking stories. They are smart and powerful in their tales.<br>4. In the early Viking age, women were seen as greater than men, then as the era progressed they became equal and eventually less.<br>5. Viking men that were disrespectful towards women lost their reputations.</div>]]></description>

They were responsible for all the wealth of the farm and the household, and you could tell this by the keys they carried.&nbsp;<br>3. Women who were priestesses were considered to be on the same level as men who were priests.&nbsp;<br>4. Since men were often traveling, the women were left at home to make decisions men usually made.&nbsp;<br>5. If people got divorced, the women's original dowry and the men's "morning gift" was the women's to keep as her property. </div>]]></description>
