Ever since running has been an important part of my life. I meat most of my closest friends through the sport and role models that i continue to look up to today. Not only has it allowed me to stay in shape but it has given me so much more. Running lets me clear my head. It's something I look forward too and feel refreshed because of. Because of the strong relationship I have with my parents and brother I feel confident in various aspects of my life. I feel capable of a lot more because I have them in my corner. I know that they are people that will always have my back and want the best for me. This is something I find great comfort in . I feel more capable of pushing my own boundaries because of the solid support system I have. Similar to running it clears my mind in a way many other activities do not. Exposure to stories has improved my perspective. It has opened me to how others think. Some of the books that I think helped me learn the most about my own life were And The Mountains Echoed, and The Things They Carried.
