We had discussions with our teacher and groupmate after I figured out to which group I belonged.
The best part is that, with my limited time in the UK, my friend in the group gathered all of the information and wrote for us.

The second group meeting

At this meeting, we've decided on our first "Big Idea".

We finally decided to start on the "contraceptive" project after making a mind map for the brand-storming process.

We discovered we had to abandon this topic due to copyright after we had completed the draft of Padlet and arranged the collections.

Home is the most common word in the world. Due to this factor, people frequently dismiss the significance of our house. Additionally, how did modern houses develop?

How to connect to visitors' life

We initially only discovered a brief overview of the information in the collections. However, when receiving a reply from our professor, we discovered that the information was merely insufficient.

So we started to find the collections that have their own story and clear ownership, or something that is still in use today.

For instance, the washboard. There are a few people using washboards nowadays, and thanks to technology, we have begun to use washing machines.

Why do I briefly make the WordPress?

As you can see, our WordPress is in a brief way. When I not only attended the interpretations course but also critical issues, I found museums, exhibitions, or other institutions still have a problem; they are still trying to put their own thinking into the description.

I just want to tell visitors the real story about collections rather than make up fairy tales for them.

I do really have many reflections: technology, loans, participation, etc.

Because the copyright is limited, we do not have that many sources. But I did not use the loans to a great extent.

After listening to other groups presentations, I found we can use the loans in different ways, like asking the author whether we can use them or not.

If we do this, we will have modern objects that can be compared with the old ones. This may link people's emotions better.

Although we have involved visitors to a great extent, if I can create a blank wall for visitors to share their own stories or memories related to the objects, in that case, visitors can get stories from other homes as well.
