1) I was shocked that old people agreed to share their information since they tend to be more close minded.
2) We didn’t know that 47% said that it was acceptable to share your information to get discounts or benefits and 32% said it was unacceptable.
3)We where confused on how some companies say they have the best resources to keep information safe yet they keep getting hacked.
4) We think the author assumes that sharing information is only acceptable in certain circumstances.

Zaira, Juan, Merab
1: I was shocked about… the privacy issues many people face and how easy it is to access people’s personal information for example (health information)
2: I didn’t know… people were against smart home appliances. Thermostat because it tracks your movements in your house
3: I was confused by… how people were disagreeing about the technology.
4: The author assumes…many people are protective over their privacy and information.
5: How people will share their information and privacy if they get a gain in return. Also some companies give out their personal information.

1. I was shocked about how 37 votes were accepted about the auto insurance one because it will literally say your location of where you’re at and that can tell people, “This person is at this place” etc.

2. I didn’t know that even 27 votes were acceptable that they wanted a “smart thermostat” that basically follows your movements while you’re at home, which is supposed to be your private home.

3. I was confused by modern people choosing to offer information about their personal self in exchange for something in value. You may never know what you’ll be exchanging or if it’ll have value for you.

4. The author assumes that some people would like to have some of the privacy and information sharing while others strongly will not, so some have their own opinions about it and others have their. Basic human nature.

By: Daniel, Grace, Jacob, and Erik (Group 4)
