Were the "Cult of Domesticity" and the rise of child-centered family signs of an improvement or a restriction to women's status and condition?

I believe it was an improvement at the time. Women now had the choice of who to marry and could work before being married. They were often the main figure of child rearing and could now be a better figure to their children because of the smaller family sizes. Prior to this, women were treated as solely bearers and raisers of children.

Was the "new family" a progressive reflection of American democratic ideals, or a restriction of them?

A progressive reflection. As previously said, women's role has been improved greatly with their new found influence from within the family and also being able to work and even being able to choose to get married or not. These ideas do still stay with the ideas of republican motherhood which is an American Democracy staple of the time.

Why did America produce so many reform and Utopian movements? What did they contribute to American culture?

These several 'Wilderness Utopias' were heavily influenced by foreign ideals such as Marxism influenced New Harmony and the Shakers in northern New York. These 'utopias' spread their radical ideals throughout the rest of America and while most believed them to be just that, radical, they still made them think about the notions.

How does the Second Great Awakening of the 19th century compare to the Great Awakening of the 18th century? How many relevant similarities and differences and you generate?

The two brought a great resurgence of faith back to the American people and with that, new sects of religion and reforms.
Different to the last Awakening, The Second Great Awakening spread out of the U.S. an to other continents. The ideals spread were also much more tame than the previous "hell's fire and damnation" preached previously. The similarities are at the core of both with the two being responses to growing resentment to religion at the time. They were also both religious movements.

Their position and background shows us that they most likely see women's rights movements as a joke as he pokes fun at them within the paper with sarcasm.
2nd Excerpt
I.A.: The excerpt is directed directly to the 1st excerpt and is probably meant to be seen by people who have read the 1st excerpt.
P: To discredit the opinion of the 1st excerpt.
P.O.V: Most likely a male because of the position at the time. They support the notion of women's rights.

As you read this chapter, can you explain the continuities and changes in American art, architecture, and literature from 1790 to 1860?

I believe so. Art developed with romanticized views from the Hudson River school as well as new music styles such as Minstrel Shows. Architecture saw a revival of Greek/Roman design with symmetry, balance, and restraint with the Federal style. Literature saw a separation from European style with the development of Transcendentalism which manifests in The American Scholar"
