This artifact is found on youtube which is a video platform for education and recreational use.

The target audience for this artifact is diabetics to encourage coordination of care with their providers and encourage the use of continuous glucose monitoring systems.

The information presented in the video is evidence based especially considering diabetes care can be catered to the patient and their needs. It is evidence based that A1C is an accurate representation of glucose control and working with your provider increases success.

The content of this video is brief and to the point encouraging patients to seek support and provided plain language tips for monitoring glucose levels.

This video offers a presenter that is a woman of color and a doctor in medicine. She encompasses DEI along with diabetes does not discriminate although African Americans are at a higher risk.

Lanning, M. S., Tanenbaum, M. L., Wong, J. J., & Hood, K. K. (2020).

This artifact is the Dexcom website, a continuous glucose monitor company.

The target audience for this page of dexcom's website is type 2 diabetics and providers.

The information included on this webpage is not evidence based in nature as it is sourced from surveys. The patient sample size being 310 and professionals 111. According to Type 2 diabetes and the use of Real-Time Continuous glucose monitoring there is data to support the use of continuous glucose monitors for the overall reduction in HgbA1c.

The information on this webpage encourages lifestyle changes and tight glycemic control however its main focus is geared to selling their product, the Dexcom CGM.

This webpage displays one person of color, and 4 women and two men total. I would not say this page offers much support for DEI.

Jackson, M. A., Ahmann, A., & Shah, V. N. (2021).
