         <description><![CDATA[<p>PHET Simulation: showing how changing the number of protons and electrons in an atom will change the name of the atom. This simulation will be extremely helpful when teaching a lesson on the atom. It will aid visual learners as, seeing exactly what is happening to the subatomic  particles as a new element is formed is a lot easier to understand than reading it in a book.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This article was extremely helpful when creating my lesson PowerPoint for the Atom. Taber identifies many misconceptions that students have when learning about the atom. An example of one of these misconceptions is that the neutron is present in order to 'neutralise' the atom, rather than it being a sub-atomic particle with a neutral charge. As a result of this, in my lesson PowerPoint, whenever I make Reference to a neutron, i state it's property have have a 'neutral charge'. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This article states that students emotions towards chemistry directly impacts their learning and understanding the subject. It was discovered after conducting a number of student interviews that the way the students described their experiences in the lab affected the way they felt, thought, and acted. It was thought that when pupils didn't feel in control of their surroundings, they were less likely to reflect on what they were seeing and doing. This significantly influenced the way in which i created my lesson PowerPoint. I wanted to create clear and concise slides that were easy for the students to understand, establishing a positive emotional association with the world of chemistry! </p>]]></description>

Nature of Science Learning Outcomes ensure that students get a deeper understanding of the content, begin to think like a scientist, make informed decisions, and appreciate the crucial role that science plays in society. I included the NoS1 learning outcome in my lesson, showing students that the structure of the atom changed over the years. </p>]]></description>
