My topic for the argumentation essay is vaccination. My interest in this subject is spurred by being a new mom and not having a lot of concrete knowledge on the subject, but I find myself very concerned with how many parents I know who are choosing to not vaccinate based on parenting ‘opinions’. I specifically want to argue that vaccination should not be a parenting choice or opinion, that its benefits are backed by scientific fact and thus should be supported by government mandates to ensure its efficacy. My audience will be parents of children, with a focus on parents of children who are under the age of six. 

My tentative thesis: The government in the US should mandate vaccination for children to support the near-eradication of many fatal diseases and maintain the benefits to public health.

Some of the opposing viewpoints I am aware of involve public opinion that vaccinations may cause autism or death (SIDS), that vaccination is a money-making scheme for big- pharma, that there is no research supporting vaccination, or that since many of the diseases commonly vaccinated against are ‘not here’ that there is no need to continue vaccinating against them.

My interest in this topic started when I first met my husband, whom is a conceal carry member. It also has been a subject close to my heart because of all the violence against many innocent      people and kids. My argument in this paper will be that while guns can be dangerous in certain hands, in good hands   they are truly the only thing that can stop the atrocities that have plauged our country as of late. My audience would be all whom care to know the facts and protect themselves. 

My working Thesis is:
Guns a very serious and dangerous discusion but in the right hands they are the only solution. Gun Control is not the answer.

The topic for my argumentation essay is internet censorship. My interest in this subject occurred with my personal experience of the internet and the benefits and harm that it can do. The internet can be a very powerful tool used for both good and bad. I have seen first hand the educational purposes and the desensitization that can occur from using the internet. My argument in this paper will be that censoring the internet will do more harm by regulation rather than teaching responsibility with such a powerful tool.

Tentative Thesis: Censoring the internet will lead to false propaganda, harm educational benefits, and violate the constitutional human rights.

The reason I chose this topic because i know a lot  of individuals that were incarcerated due to selling marijuana. However, individuals I know bought it was for medical reasons such as bipolar, anxiety, pain and stress. Now due to the law passing individuals can't get a record for doing such things. My best friend lives in Colardo and he said the crime is down to a minimum. I want to argue the fact that crime rate is decreasing. I finally came up with a topic and it is the use of pig organs for human transplant. How will scientist or researcher be able to achieve this?
It's just amazing how scientist come up with a hypothesis and achieve their goal and the patience they need to achieve it. These research can take years to accomplish.

Thesis: Child Sex offenders are not normal people who make sound decisions and do not have the mental capacity to be released without 24 hour electronic monitoring. They should not be re-allowed trust at the possible expense of more innocent children.
