I used blogger to upload all of my work but, also i received comments from my teachers or anyone who read my blog. Some of the benefits to using blogger is that it is very easy to use and understand and doesn't take very long to get used to and use. However, it isn't just like typing in word it is a bit different. What i mean by this is that it isn't advanced as using word. To use blogger i would usually do written work in blogger but with other things like creating diagrams for the research stage and creating a story board for the planning stage, i would use a different type of software, as you couldn't do everything in blogger

Digital Photo Manipulation - Photoshop

I used Photoshop for quite a few things like editing photos, creating the Digipak and Promotional Poster. Creating these things in Photoshop i found to be quite easy, once you know the basic. As i already knew how to use Photoshop i was able to use all of the short cuts which i learnt somewhere else. The benefits of using Photoshop are endless, as you can literally create anything. I chose to edit my photos from my photo shoot in Photoshop because there are hundreds of filters which can be put onto your images to make them look better. There are a few negatives when using Photoshop. I didn't really use Photoshop for my research or planning because it wasn't really needed, however i did use it for the production of my products. This meant i had to record what i was doing by taking screenshots and posting them onto my blog. When using Photoshop you need to think about creating things into layers, because Photoshop works with a layered system, without creating new layers you will find it hard.

Canva was a new website that i had found this year, it is a graphic design website. Which allows you to create logos, cover images for social media and small things for websites. I used this website to create some of titles for the production of my Digipak and Poster. As Photoshop has very limited Font styles, so i needed to look for an alternative. This worked really well for me and the website was super easy to use with clear instructions on where you can find things. The only negative thing about using this website was that some of the features were for the premium version only which you had to pay for.

I used this website when i was in the research and planning stage of my coursework project. It became very useful because i could use this website to create a personalized questionnaire, which i could send to my peers and my focus group and so they would be able to answer a range of questions, which i have created myself. The website also allows you to choose the way, you wanted people to answer the questions. Either via multiple choice, rating and many more. One of the difficulties i found with it was that it took up a lot of time just creating the questionnaire, well in fact i could actually just creating by hand on paper. On the other hand i do think having done by the internet was just easier when it came to uploading it on to my blog.

Social Media - (Youtube/Facebook)

Using social media as whole i found partially easy as it's one of the things i use everyday. However i had never uploaded a video onto YouTube or asked for people's feedback on facebook. So there were some negatives, but not many at all. On YouTube the instructions given on how you upload a music video, were pretty simple and easy to use. But Sometimes hard to find because my channel isn't as popular, so it does take a while to find. Using facebook to ask for people's feedback on something, was something i did at mine own risk. By posting on social media i can't control what people may comment on my post. So if the majority of comments was about something i didn't particularly didn't want to do, i would have to detail with that and find a reason on why i didn't want to consider opinions.

Premiere Pro

I used premiere pro version CS4, i believe there are newer versions of this software. However, this is what was available to me that this point in time. I did struggle using at first as there is so much to know about using the software. I researched online, used youtube tutorials and asked my teachers. For advice on how to do specific things on premiere pro. Unfortunately there are more negatives than positive, but i feel like this was because the software was quite old and what quite hard to use in the amount of time i was given. On the software, it is just blank and if you haven't done your research beforehand you wouldn't know what you will be doing. The few positives, once i knew a little of what i was doing, i found it quite easy to find my way around the editd and where to find my shots. However i don't recommend t that version of premiere pro to anyone creating a video.

Using a digital camera for filming anything for the first time. I found actually quite easy, There were certain aspects which i needed to make sure i was doing probably. Making sure the camera is in focus at all times, the lens cap isn't on and make sure that the camera is on a straight angle and finally not cutting off any of my artist head. So to make sure that all these things were happening while i was filming. Can become quite challenging because i was also trying to focus on what my artist was doing behind the camera and the surrounding we was in. Once i got the hand of all of these things, actually filming became quite easy, and i am really happy that i decided to use a camera instead of my mobile phone.

I used slideshare for question two of my evaluation. This was really easy to do as you would just create a PowerPoint and to upload it online you can upload it onto slideshare. The advantages of using PowerPoint and slideshare was that i could use these platforms anywhere and wasn't just restricted to using the internet.
One disadvantage is that if you upload it to slideshare and share it, if you need to change anything you aren't able to just by date it on slideshare. You would need to change the things you need in PowerPoint and re upload it onto slideshare.

I also used prezi for my evaluation as it was different platform from just the ordinary blogger.
I had used Prezi before in other media products, so i knew exactly what i was doing. But there is always different layouts which can be used when creating a prezi. The only disadvantage would be that sometimes when moving around prezi, it can get quite confusing as you can change the layout but it needs to make sense as it flows.

Throughout the whole of my media coursework i used YouTube constantly for some research on music videos. As without using YouTube i wouldn't have a clue what i would have needed. The advantages of using YouTube, if you need to you can link the video and embed the video into blogger. Which makes it really easy to explain the video when talking about it in blogger. Also by looking at real music videos means you have done a wide range of research in different genres of videos. A disadvantage of using YouTube is when trying to upload my finished video. It can be taken down because you don't have copyright permission and then there is no other way to upload your video. (Below is an example where i used YouTube for some research.)

Another platform i used was emaze, which is basically a site which allows you to create a slide show on the internet. I used this so i wasn't just using blogger all the time. I found it very easy and simple to use. The instructions were easily read and didn't take me long at all to figure out what i was doing. The advantages of using emaze was that if you wanted to update the presentation you could just directly update it on the emaze's website. Which is different from using slideshare where you would need to make a presentation in slideshare. Some disadvantages of using emaze was actually embedding it onto blogger, as i couldn't find a way of uploading it. At first i just copied the link into a blog, so i had to do some research on how to embed it.
