Marcos arrives to the center with his dad. Teacher shows a book to Marcos and asks him, ""can you come and sit with me?" Marcos sat on the lap of the teacher. Teacher reads the book to him, she turns the pages and he turns the pages. Dad waves bye to Marcos, Marcos looks at dad, the teacher says "you will see him later, yeah." Marcos responds "Yeah."

Ball Goes in Restricted Area

Outside near the play structure the ball goes in the garden area. Christian knows they do not enter the garden area without permission. Christian wants to get the ball. Christian says, “get the broom we can reach the ball to get it”. I ask why are you getting the broom? Christian responds, “We need to get the ball in the garden, we can’t go in there, cause we will have to go inside”

Comment: Christian found away to retrieve the ball from the garden area that was off limits without permission. He could have just asked could he get the ball, but instead he was going to solve the issue on his own.

The teacher continued to read the book, "K for Kitten." The child immediately said, "Kevin!" The teacher said, "Ke Ke, Kevin." The other child giggled and said, "Kicking Kevin?" "Terrible if I kick Kevin! He will be mad." He was nodding, then put his arm around the child's shoulder who sat next to him. He said "I would never do that," to him with a smile on his face.

The girls pull apart large legos, rearrange, and they lift and re-stack.

G1 "can you get this side" and girl2 pulls on yellow lego that does not pull apart.

They restack the piece that didn't come apart together then sit down. G2 "you moved it" and she moves the lego piece back. They giggle and sit down.

The video describes a conversation between a teacher and a child about colors and how they change when the chalk is placed in water. The child said, "Look at this color," holding the chalk. The teacher asked, "What color is that?" The child replied, "Orange." The teacher said, "I'm looking at it, and I see a lighter color here. Do you see that?"

"What happens when you put it in the water?" the teacher asked. The child said, "Let me do it," and put the chalk in the water. "It’s lighter," he said.

The infant grabbed the toy with one hand and shook the toy with the same hand. He then held the same toy with his other hand switching it off. After it dropped from his hands, his focus went from the dropped toy to the other puzzle toy in front of him. He then picked up one of the puzzle knobs with one hand.

He place the number blocks on the table and put the number of pegs in each hold. Bob engages in back and forth exchanges with an adult asking questions while continuing with the task. Boy holds of 2 fingers on each hand to represent the number of pegs. Boy counts correctly the number of pegs touching each peg with his left pointer finger, when using his right skips number.

Caregiver and infant have direct eye contact throughout the video. Caregiver offered choices of food or milk. Infant response with "Ah". Caregiver verbalized infant, "you want this?" Infant didn't open mouth. So caregiver ask infant, "you want milk?" Infant responded with hands moving, smile and open mouth to drink milk.
