Although the Mayans were skilled mathematicians and the Aztecs were warriors, the Incas are the most interesting in my opinion. Their many advancements are still talked about today.

They learned to adapt to their mountainous land with terrace farming, which helped their plants thrive. They also learned how to make extensive roads that they could travel on. Along with useful advancements, they learned how to do fun stuff as well, like freeze-drying. Not only were they more peaceful, but they were also intelligent and adaptive.

Deformed Skulls

8. Cacao Drink

9. They might have shared culture, or fought.

10. The Incan Empire is my favorite civilization from the three due to their empire in of itself and their architecture. They had somehow conquered the Andes, which is hard because its an unforgiving area, with cold climates and unpredictable weather. AND, they made farms on these mountains with terrace designs, which is very hard.

Their Architecture is also a good part about them. Their cities were highly advanced for the time, with large bricks to make up a lot of it. The designs they use appeal to me with its simplicity, but also goods looks and functionality. Also, again, the terraces add into this blocky design in other aspects, and I also like it. How they managed to build all of that in hard to navigate mountains? I don't know, but I do know that I like it.

1 From circa 800 BC to 1530 AD.

2 most of western South America from Chile in the south to Colombia in the north.

3 They spoke Nahuatl.

4 Tikal

5 The capital was Cusco

6 The Maya worshipped nature gods and believed they needed to nourish their blood‑hungry gods with human blood. By sacrificing people, they hoped the gods would give them fertility and good harvests. Sacrifices took place on temple pyramids, where a high priest cut open the victim’s chest and tore out the still‑beating heart.

7 The Inca upper class deformed their skulls. Cloth was tightly bound around the heads of newborn children so their skulls became cone shaped, which showed power and respect and marked them as upper class.

8 At sacrifices and ceremonies, the Aztecs used a special cocoa drink made from dried and crushed cocoa beans. They believed the cocoa tree was sacred and worthy of the gods, so the cocoa drink was used in religious ceremonies and human sacrifices.

9 Design a hypothetical scenario where these three civilizations coexisted and interacted. How might they have influenced each other's development?
Imagine that the Maya, Inca, and Aztec civilizations all existed at the same time and were able to travel and trade easily with one another. They might have formed a large trade network stretching from the Andes Mountains up through Central America and into Central Mexico. The Maya could have shared their advanced writing system and astronomy, helping the Aztecs and Incas improve their calendars and record‑keeping. The Inca, with their skill in terrace farming and road‑building, could have taught the Maya and Aztecs new ways to grow food in difficult environments and connect distant cities. The Aztecs, who were strong warriors and traders, might have spread new goods, foods, and religious ideas across all three empires. Over time, these exchanges could have led to shared religious festivals, blended art styles, and stronger, more stable societies because they would be supporting one another through trade, knowledge, and alliances.

10 My favorite civilization is the Aztec civilization. I like the Aztecs because they had a very advanced and organized society with impressive cities like Tenochtitlán, which was built on a lake and had canals, causeways, and temples. They were also skilled farmers and used chinampas, or floating gardens, to grow crops.

2nd paragraph is I find their religion, art, and architecture really interesting, especially their pyramids and detailed stone carvings. Even though some of their practices were harsh, their culture was powerful and unique. Their amazing city design and farming methods make the Aztecs my favorite civilization.

Without the use of the wheel, iron, or a written alphabet, they built a massive civilization across the rugged Andes. Their most mind-blowing achievement was a 25,000 mile road network that connected snowy peaks to coastal deserts, featuring suspension bridges made of woven grass and "runner" messengers who could deliver fresh fish from the ocean to the emperor in the mountains in just days.

They didn't just survive in high altitudes, they thrived by carving massive stone terraces into mountainsides, creating a high-tech agricultural system that could feed millions in one of the world's harshest environments.

The Inca empire had many contracting elements compared to the other empires. The Inca had many traditions and sacrifices to please their gods. The Inca empire was made up of many different languages from different people from different places. In its heyday, the Inca Empire consisted of no fewer than 10 million people, although only the Inca emperor and his huge family of 40,000 people were original Incas

The Inca Empire lasted from 1100 to 1530 AD. They conquered most of western South America, from Chile in the south to Colombia in the north. The Inca Empire practised terracing farming on the mountain slopes of the Andes, showing that the Incas were skilled engineers and architects. Machu Picchu in Peru and the terraces on the steep mountainsides are proof of this. When the ruins were rediscovered in 1911 by American archaeologist Hiram Bingham, it was clear that the Incas had a phenomenal understanding of building construction.
