         <title>Phineas Taylor Barnum; The Master of Ballyhoo 1840s</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;-Phineas Taylor (P.T.) Barnum launched the New American Museum, where he would put together a circus of unbelievable hoaxes were people all across the city came to see;&nbsp; Feejee Mermaid which was a "mermaid" with the torso of and head of a monkey with the tail of a fish attached to it. <br><br>- His philosophy behind his actions was "<em>There’s a sucker born every minute</em>."&nbsp; <br><br>- Advertised his shows with colorful flags and banners across the city whether it was posted on a wall or hung to a horse; He would pull publicity stunts, media tours of his hoaxes, and he was the original communicator of press agents to promote his circus. <br><br>- P. T.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>The next more modernized form of advertisement is was a form called the town crier, popularized around 1060.<ul><li>Also known as a bellman, he would go around ringing a bell and shouting.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>Newspapers intended as periodical news were born in 1600's France <sup>1. </sup>In England, the first periodical was published in Rome in 1620 under the governmental suppression of the Star Chamber, who got dissolved in 1641 <sup>2</sup>. Regulation got reinforced in 1662, but loopholes allowed journalists to emerge.
