Let every one get a chance to showoff part of their islands cuisine , music , national dress etc... Or even let students research an island the are not from and present a showcase of that country.
Overall just make the course more fun and interactive !!!!

One of the issues of main importance in the region, particularly in Barbados, highlighted in the local and national media, is that of human and animal health. For some time now, South Coast residents and business operators have complained about foul-smelling “brownish water” seeping from Barbados Water Authority (BWA) sewers along Highway 7, making life difficult for them, their customers, residents and motorists. It is very clear that sanitation issues like these affect the environment which we live in as a Caribbean community as some members are experience rashes that broke out on their skin after they have come in contact with the waste liquid, nor can we ignore the fear expressed by residents that the recent fish kill in the Graeme Hall Swamp was linked to this sewage run-off flowing directly into the conservation area due to BWA’s broken pump from the sewer system.

A civilized society is defined as one that brings people together that are living in a particular country or region to a stage of human development, where they can share customs, laws, and organizations. A civilized society can also be defined to the early Caribbean people, as these societies were dependent on hunting as a means to survive. Over the years and as the times passed these people developed a better understanding of civilization as they established agriculture and planting crops in the villages also developing cultures on their own.

An uncivilized society is defined as on that has not yet grasped the concept of a more developed modern day culture as its way of life. In other words, these Caribbean people lacked culture and were not sophisticated, there were not inventing new techniques or ways and was considered to be “uncivilized”. Civilizations are supposed to be somewhat equal, so it is wrong to say that a civilization is better or worse than another. Back in the earlier groups of people in the Caribbean their displayed different ethnic beliefs and religions but as time passed they're then gradually started to display different levels of innovations and techniques as they started to socially develop.

A developing society is defined as one that is constantly growing, maturing and showing a high level of advancement. The early Caribbean people could be applied to as a “developing society” as their different ethnic groups were gradually able to expand their social development within their different societies. The earlier Caribbean societies became more socially and culturally advanced over time, developing new techniques and innovations by either planting their own agricultural land with different crops or by just simply developing their social organizations.

An advanced society is defined as on that has reached a high level of development, culture, science and governance. The early Caribbean comprise of small ethnic groups, so it would be wrong and bias to these small ethnic groups to use the term an “advance society” when speaking about these groups. These early Caribbean people displayed various types of different cultural practices but the civilization was deemed as equal.

The caribbean consist of many different culturees, religions, backgrounds, langagues etc. In times of need the Carribean comes together as one family, for example, a natural diaster, all the caribbean countries or most of them come together in aid of that country that was affected.

Another example of the Caribbean coming together as one is in terms of the West Indies cricket team. This cricket team is made up of person from different caribbean countries working together in their love for the sport of cricket.

We also see the caribbean comin together as a family around olympus time, when every caribbean person is tunned in to their televisions to watch the world's fastest man Usain Bolt and the world's fastest woman Shelly-Ann Fraiser-Price. Although these are Jamaican athletes the Caribbean people supports them and think of them as their own.
