1. Describe Yourself in One Word: Think of a single word that best represents who you are.

2. Describe Yourself in One Picture: Find or take a picture that you feel captures your personality or something important about you.

3. Gather Visuals: Collect a few pictures or short video clips that represent your hobbies, interests, or anything you’d like to share.

4. Create Your Vlog: Use a simple app like Clips or any other editing tool you prefer to combine your images, videos, and word description into a short introduction video.

5. Alternative Option: If you prefer, you can also make your vlog in one continuous take, like a "talking head" style video. This is perfectly fine!

6. Time Limit: Keep your vlog short and sweet—aim for a total length of 90 seconds (one and a half minutes).

1. Identify a Relevant Issue: Think about the various problems that young people encounter in wartime or conflict zones. This could include challenges related to access to information, misinformation, mental health, education, safety, or community cohesion. Consider how these issues are impacted by current media and communication practices.

2. Focus on the Impact: Define why this issue is significant. Who is affected by this problem, and how? Consider the societal, cultural, economic, or psychological impacts of the challenge on young people. Think about how this issue is represented or misunderstood in public discourse, journalism, and media.

3. Narrow the Scope: A good challenge is specific and focused. Instead of tackling a broad issue like "war," narrow it down to a particular aspect, such as "the impact of misinformation on young people's mental health during conflict" or "challenges in delivering accurate news to remote areas in wartime."

4. Make it Actionable: Ensure the challenge can be addressed with a practical solution. Ask yourself: Is there a way to solve this problem, or at least improve the situation? Think about approaches that involve communication strategies, media campaigns, digital tools, or community engagement.

5. Incorporate Interdisciplinary Perspectives: Think about how different disciplines (e.g., journalism, communication, psychology, international relations) can contribute to understanding and solving the challenge. How can insights from these fields be integrated to develop a more comprehensive solution?

6. Frame the Challenge Clearly: Write a concise statement that clearly defines the problem. This statement should include:

- What: The specific issue you are addressing.

- Who: The people affected by the issue.

- Why: The significance of the issue and why it matters.

- How: An indication of potential directions for solutions, emphasizing creativity and innovation in journalism and communication.

Example Challenge Statement:

"How can young journalists effectively counter misinformation that targets young audiences during wartime, using digital storytelling and social media to foster trust and credibility?"

By following these steps, you'll formulate a well-defined and actionable challenge that encourages innovative solutions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
