How did various forms of media help to shape American culture in the 1920?
>Radio
The radio made it possible to hear sports and shows live, without actually having to be at the event. It allowed people to get news almost instantly compared to new paper where people would have to wait days or even weeks for the news.
>Movies
The first movies were in black and white and with no sound. Every so often a word scene would come in and tell the audience what the actor was saying. In 1927 the first movie with sound came out, as well as the first animated film with sound.
>Professional sports
People had money. People were using their money for fun things like watching professional sports! Baseball became Americas favorite pass time. Players like Babe Ruth paved the way for new types of advertisement that we still use today.
