The academic moot was very informative. It was not only related to academics but also about understanding kids. By learning about stages of play , I can now understand the psyche of kids better. I loved the concept of free flow environment.

This session has also broadened my understanding of teaching phonics to kids.

My journey towards this MOOT'24 was very informative, my level of understanding literacy, reading is way too different now and I am sure this will going to help me in the current session and the most relevant part was the reflection part. The knowledge towards this was very much relatable.

I wish to have these kind of in-house training more but within the school hours. :P

My colleagues said 'You are lucky to attend a session with such a knowledgeable person 'Ms Tayyabah' and no doubt it was such an awesome experience. It have broaden my vision and entirely transformed my perspective on how, when and where to support child's learning process by inquiry based learning integrating various strategies and theories.

I as an early year practitioner has learnt a lot about literacy and have developed the authentic skills of phonetics.

My Growth Journey:

I learnt a lot from this academic moot .It was a beautiful learning experience .Ms tayyaba Aamir was the trainer and I have learnt alot from her.We discussed how kids think and play, and the idea of 'free flow' which means letting them learn at their own pace. I also learnt about the 4 lenses of reflection, which help us think deeply about our experiences. I also learnt about pedagogical document which help us to keep a learning process of a child .Additionally, I gained insight into phonics awareness. Overall, I gained a better understanding of how kids learn and grow.

I had the privilege of attending academic moot, where I received exceptional training from a knowledgeable and dedicated trainer Ms Tayyabah.

One area where I struggled previously was documentation, but our trainer's introduction to pedagogical documentation is a game-changer. Throughout this journey, what I have observed has been both highly rewarding and successful. I have come to understand many concepts that were previously hidden or unrecognized as essential. We had the opportunity to uncover and explore these areas here. For instance, the lens of our knowledge expanded, compelling me to realize the importance of continual improvement. At a recent workshop, I learned about integrating phonics and math concepts in early years education under the IB framework. The session demonstrated how phonics helps young children develop reading skills through playful activities and how mathematical ideas, like counting and shapes, are introduced through engaging, hands-on experiences. The focus was on fostering a love for learning by combining literacy and numeracy in a way that supports the IB's holistic approach to education. And specially the literacy trainer was very impressive and showed me new ways of implementing the language in early years indeed it was a worth taking MOOT'24.

As a fresh face in this prestigious organization, I have attended my first ACADEMIC MOOT 2024. The overall experience was incredibly valuable, new strategies and knowledge was shared.

I had attended 5 days ACADEMIC MOOT 2024, where I learned the following listed ideas and new knowledge that are to be utilized in teaching early years:

The significance and impacts of posing question in classroom.
a. Personalized learning
b. Decision making skills
c. Creativity
d. Alignment of distinct ideas
We learned about different theories of learning like social learning, experiential learning and transformative learning theory.
The difference between enabling and empowering of students, how they are different from each other and how they can be interrelated.
Listening skills should be more focused rather than visuals like videos etc.
Discussion on learning objectives and learning outcomes and how both should align.
Teaching of grammar in context.
Multi- Modal learning and it's purpose.
Holistic learning Approach
It is considered as giving a whole education to a child that includes his social and emotional education.
Supporting learning environment that's addresses social, emotional and ethical requirements.
Learning the guidance and counseling services.
How should teacher keep the records or data of her students on monthly or weekly basis.
Integration of subjects and different strategies of how to integrate subjects to make the learning more effective.

These were all the learnings that will be beneficial for me in this teaching journey. We did activities too where from the environment we learned how to tackle any activity and how to engage students in classroom activities.
