All Poetry is considered largest poetry community ranging from both beginners to experts. With this type of community, the community would be giving out encouragement and detailed critique when given the chance. It is stated that it is totally free with optional pain memberships. THRUSH – a journal of poetry that will appear 6 times a year. (January, March, May, July, September and November)
We will present a select number of poems per edition.
We recommend reading current and archived issues to familiarize yourself with the poetry we select for publication.
Submissions are now open. We read submissions on a rolling basis. We are not a paying market.
Submit previously unpublished work only. Please do not send us work that has appeared elsewhere on the internet or in print.
Send us no more than three poems, pasted in the body of an email, preceded by a cover letter. If your poem requires special formatting, you may then, also include an attachment. Please include a bio written in the third person.
Please indicate POETRY SUBMISSION on your subject line. Submissions without "Poetry Submission" in the subject line will be deleted unread.
Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but not preferred. If your work is accepted elsewhere please inform us immediately.
No multiple submissions please.
We aim to respond to all submissions within 5 days of receipt (usually much less).
Please wait a minimum of six months between submissions.
Our taste is eclectic. We want poems that move us, a strong sense of imagery, emotion, with interesting and surprising use of language, words that resonate. We want fresh. We want voice. We want craft.
Established and new poets are encouraged to submit. Please no long poems. We prefer a poem that will fit on one page. We are not interested in inspirational poetry or philosophical musings.

Coalesce Community is hosting a summer solstice call for a collection of Human Stories. They're accepting creative non-fiction, poetry, and photo essays. For poetry submissions, you can submit up 5 five poems per submission. Submissions are free if you choose to not receive feedback, and there is more information for services they offer if you do want feedback on your submissions. This opened on April 2nd and won't be closing until May 31st. If your work doesn't get accepted, you can always edit and resubmit your work free of charge. Anyone can submit.

The Heron's Nest

They publish haiku poetry that have two important elements within them.

- March 15( for June issue)

Guidelines: 5-15 poems at a time. Include your city, state, and country. They accept modern, freestyle, and classic written haiku's that follow the 5-7-5 syllabic structure. They are looking for the poems to embody and give the experience of a haiku. They are looking for properly formed poems. They do not accept renku, haibun, or tanka.

14 Poems is a London based poetry journal that aims to create anthologies of LGBTQ people's works in their triannual publication. Submission is open to anyone and you'll get roughly $30 for every poem they publish.

Flash Fiction online has been a professional place where they would be writing forms of brief, beautiful and dynamic flash fiction. They would be specializing in short fiction of 500 to 100 words that could accept a variety of genres. They would be paying $80 for original fiction (8c/word at minimum) and 2c/word for reprints. They would be welcoming all types of submissions not matter who or what that person may be. Their submission portals for original and reprint stories are open from the 1st to 21st of each month.

Fiction
We want muscular prose, authenticity, and a real beating heart. Play with form and show us the humorous absurd. Submit short stories of no more than 3,000 words or up to 3 flash fictions of less than 750 words each in a single document.
We publish two issues a year, September 1 and March 1. We accept general submissions for poetry, nonfiction, and fiction between two reading periods, and the first 300 submissions to each are free. We also run a collaborative writing contest in August. We also accept visual art all year.

BOA is holding its 12th annual contest for a short fiction piece, where the winner will receive a BOA publication in 2024 and a $1000 honorarium. There is a submission fee of twenty five dollars, and holds many guidelines for eligibility. Some of these are that you have to be 18 or older, you must be a United States citizen, resident, or hold DACA or TPS status. You can read the rest of the guidelines for eligibility and the manuscript on their website.

The Horror Tree, while somewhat unusual, is a place where particularly horror writers can gather and submit their pieces to be shared with others. Though it specifically calls for horror, writers can play around with the theme given for the month's submission, the deadline this time around being May 1st 2022 and the theme being "Aging". It also offers other areas that also take in fiction submissions.

This is a contest that is open for many forms of fiction and nonfiction. If you're interested, you have the option of doing short stories, essays, memoirs, photo essays, or even graphic stories. Your work has to be unpublished and not exceed a 15,000 word count. A submission fee of $27 is required, but there are some cash prizes for those in the top ten that start at $100 to as high as $2,500.

*The portal to submit works start on May 1st, and ends July 31st. However, the website says the deadline would be for 2021, but the contest is for 2022. I'm assuming the date is July, 31st, 2022, and not for 2021.*

CRAFT is a literary journal that publishes Flash Fiction (up to 1,000 words), Short Fiction (up to 6,000 words), Flash Creative Nonfiction (up to 1,000 words) and Creative Nonfiction (up to 6,000 words).

They pay their authors $100 for original flash and $200 for original short fiction and creative nonfiction. They do not charge submission fees, but are highly selective in what they choose to publish.

You are only allowed to submit one piece per genre at a time.

This group mainly wants to provide a space for new writers to experiment, get feedback, and ultimately, find their self in the literary world. Any works submitted will be published in a weekly publication, and archived at universities. For Creative Nonfiction, send one piece of up to 3,000 words. They especially like Flash CNF: pieces that are 800 words or less. Pieces that don't need a lot of space to get their point across. If you are submitting Flash CNF, then you can submit up to three pieces (in one document). Do not submit more than once a month.

They are especially interested in emerging writers. I believe you are also required to submit a cover letter with your piece.
