Those that are victims often feel scared, anger, or shame. Cyberbullying can be in the form of name-calling, spreading rumors, and harassing.

These challenges can become more serious if they are bullied. It has been shown through research that it can lead to the student avoiding attending school, low grades, loses concentration, losing interest in school and activities, and dropping out of school.

One way that cyberbullying can be prevented is the observation of technology while in use. This of course may not be ideal, so teaching students rules of the internet can help. Students need to learn to to respect others and to not share personal information with anyone. Parents and teachers should be open with their children and the importance of cyber-safety.
