A belief that ties with this video well is unexplained and appeal to authority for a red flag. Brought up many times throughout the video authorities were explaining to the public what they know about the topic but, it was never a lot of information and within the information given it was very broad. Each time they claimed to have more on the subject they reworded what was said the time before and that they weren't aloud to release anymore information. Most people went along with what the authorities had to say. When explaining the reason, retired professionals talked about how the captain had to of flew the plane into the water a certain way for it to completely submerge and sink fast to where it is hard to find. The belief perception and observation comes into play because the retired sciences used they're knowledge from what they have seen in the past to explain the only logical way they believe the plane could completely disappear. The proof by verbosity red flag is what we believe to be happening in this video, because they provided a lot of evidence to what they explained making it easy to believe. But, kept shutting down anyone who had negative questions. Some flaws in this theory are that quite a few pieces of the plane have washed up on beaches which means that the plane must’ve crashed into the ocean and not on land. Other flaws about this article is that it doesn’t seem very trustworthy. The video doesn’t play properly and the page is covered in ads. The theory also assumes that the so called “arrow” was man made but the picture is very fuzzy and it’s hard to tell. People have also said that the first picture just looks like a plane flying over Cambodia when the picture was taken. Unlike other maps you can find about MH370 this one has a lot of different lines that aren’t exactly necessary in showing what’s going on. I’ve looked at several other maps that show a much clearer picture of where the plane came from and going. I don’t think having all of the other air routes in the picture are needed. Whoever made this was probably just trying to be thorough but just ended up making their map confusing. It’s kind of like the red flag Red Herring except in picture form. A reason for belief is unexplained. There's many possible answers but none of them have enough evidence to be claimed as the truth. A red flag to relate this video to is confirmation bias. Patternicity could be the reason why this man believed to have saw the plane on google maps. The object could have been something that took the shape of a plane. Or he could have been correct and the red flag of appeal to authority could have came into place because authorities claimed to have had an intense search of the area and found nothing and because it came from them we believe what was said. Now this picture and what we see could very well be our brain playing with us. Patternicity we believe is what's happening here in this image. The way the waves are moving in this moment could be the reason we see the shape of a plane.
